The 16x2 LCD Display with Pre-Soldered Header provides a simple way to add a clear character display to your project, featuring a blue backlit screen, HD44780 compatibility, and breadboard-friendly connections for quick integration.

The 16x2 LCD Display with pre-soldered header is an easy-to-use HD44780 compatible character display, ideal for standalone electronics projects. 

Featuring 16 characters across 2 rows, a blue background with white text, and a convenient pre-soldered header, it's ready for breadboarding straight out of the box. The display includes a low-power LED backlight, supports custom characters, and can be controlled using as few as six digital I/O pins. A contrast adjustment potentiometer is also included for quick setup.

• 16 characters wide, 2 rows
• White text on blue background
• Connection port is 0.1" pitch, single row for easy breadboarding and wiring
• Pins are documented on the back of the LCD to assist in wiring it up
• Single LED backlight included can be dimmed easily with a resistor or PWM and uses much less power than LCD with EL (electroluminescent) backlights
• Can be fully controlled with only 6 digital lines! (Any analogue/digital pins can be used)
• Built in character set supports English/Japanese text, see the HD44780 datasheet for the full character set
• Up to 8 extra characters can be created for custom glyphs or 'foreign' language support
• Comes with necessary contrast potentiometer
